Family Session at Kiva Dunes - Gulf Shores Portraits

This family session at Kiva Dunes, located near the beautiful Gulf Shores, required some extra planning and careful consideration. With a weather event rapidly moving into the area, we had to make the decision to move up the day of the session to ensure we captured the perfect moments. Although the initial weather forecast predicted mild winds, we instead encountered strong winds accompanied by even stronger gusts that made shooting on the beach quite challenging. We made several attempts to find sheltered areas to protect from the wind before deciding to venture closer to the water's edge. Unfortunately, the gusts proved to be too intense, so the family graciously agreed to relocate the session to the charming streets of the Kiva Dunes community. This adjustment provided us with significantly better wind conditions, allowing for beautiful photographs to be taken. This family session truly exemplifies the importance of having a Plan B, C, and even D in place when navigating the unpredictable nature of outdoor photography!
